**Summary**




The Transportation Supervisor is a highly focused position to ensure a service-oriented and professional working environment through supervision of the personnel involved in the day to day operation of the transportation department. The Transportation Supervisor will provide overall leadership, direction, planning, organization and execution for the transportation department while maintaining the company's expected high quality standards. Transportation Supervisor will ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and oversee all inspections, maintenance, record keeping and movement of company vehicles.





Essential Job Functions





Manage the hiring and mentoring the development of all transportation staff to ensure that department procedures and standards are met in order to prevent and reduce the risk of guest and vehicle accidents. The Transportation Supervisor will work cooperatively with other Wyndham operating departments to improve service delivery across all lines and within the marketing department. Will provide support to the Director of CMP Marketing and Marketing Management.

Oversee the overall operation of the transportation department: Direct, hire, train, manage, develop, plan and mentor while maintaining a highly efficient transportation department. Ensure timely and professional transportation of guests and company personnel in shuttle vehicle between resort, local attractions and other destinations according to assigned schedules. Work collaboratively with other operating departments and provide support to Marketing Management. Plan, organize and support functions related to the department.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and all other company policies and procedures. Regularly inspect and maintain fleet vehicles. Maintain required documentation such as trip logs, maintenance performance, licensing, registration, vehicle exchange and budget reports.

**Travel Requirements**



Travel requirements will include inter-city travel between sales sites, pick-up locations, shuttle docking station and any other location as deemed necessary relating to fleet of vehicles. Travel may also include any mandatory training and/or meetings located outside of the Transportation department. (Up to 35% of the time)


**Minimum Qualifications and Requirements**


**Education**




+ High School diploma or equivalent required

+ BA/BS degree preferred



**Knowledge and Skills**

**Job experience**




+ Two years supervisory/management experience; prefer prior experience managing a fleet of vehicles.

+ Six months to one year previous experience in a transportation role.

+ 1 year related education and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Valid state driver's license/CDL with no outstanding points on driving record and no prior vehicular related misdemeanor or felony convictions
